Ryan Urquhart is an award-winning freelance play-by-play broadcaster with additional skills in content creation and social media. In 2019, he was named a top 5 collegiate broadcaster by the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America.
In 2021, Ryan began calling games on ESPN+ for USF Bulls Athletics. He has called USF men's basketball, baseball, women's soccer, men's soccer, women's volleyball, men's basketball, softball. He has also been a radio fill in for baseball broadcasts on Bulls Unlimited.
In 2016, he was hired as a play-by-play broadcaster with Learfield covering the Gators. He has served as a radio/TV voice (SEC Network+) for Gators softball, lacrosse, women's basketball, soccer and volleyball.
Ryan has also done play-by-play for broadcasts of FIU football, women's basketball and baseball.
Ryan at just 22 years old while still finishing his degree spearheaded to launch and development of the Identity Varsity Network, an endeavor created by Vinik Sports Group (the Tampa Bay Lightning) and the Identity Tampa Bay. In addition to leading all play-by-play broadcasts, he coordinated logistics for the Network, engineered hundreds of broadcasts, created in-game and social media graphics, wrote sponsor reads and preview articles, edited video and photo content, and assisted with the social media management for the entire Identity Tampa Bay company. Over three years, content he either collaborated on or often created independently generated over 2.4 million impressions for the company across Twitter and Instagram across all accounts.
